10 months

These last 10 months have been the best of my life! Brookelynn is seriously the cutest little thing. We have been busy, busy this month and will post more picture of our adventures but I wanted to make sure I wrote about what my little baby doll is up to these days.

Button, Button, Brookelynn Loves Buttons

She's a sucker for buttons to push. She loves to find them, see what they do and then do it again! Her toys, the remote, and pens that click are her favorites. She looks for buttons everywhere, in the books we read if there are small objects, like marbles, she pushes them see if they will do anything. She even has found that a few of Daddy's moles really are buttons. Who knew?

Good Morning Books

Brookelynn loves to read books any time of the day but she squeals for them in the morning. As soon as I pick her up she looks at the stack of books on the night stand and then reaches and sequels. We read the whole stack every morning. She especially likes the little lamb book right now. We have our routine down pat including singing, Mary had a little lamb, bah bah black sheep, playing peekaboo with the mama lamb, hopping like a frog, bahing like a sheep, bouncing like a bunny, dancing to the "music", and waving bye bye. I'll have to post her bah sound. I just love it!

Dancing Baby

While Brookelynn is cruising around the furniture she likes to dance as she goes. She'll dance to about anything if you dance with her but it has to be something she likes to dance on her own... which is pretty much anything since she dances to my singing. :) Her holiday favorite is jingle bells and loves to shake the bells as much as she shakes her booty.

Playing Games With Daddy

Don't get me wrong Brookelynn will play games with anyone, but she loves to play them with her Daddy. Nate makes up games with her all the time and Brookelynn is quick to learn how it is played and loves every minute. When you play a game that has turns, and you wait too long Brookelynn will pick up your hand to let you know it's your turn.

Favorites

Bath time (still), D the dog (still), crackers, mirrors, people, people, people, games, going and doing, looking at pictures of her or people she knows, (especially watching our family pictures with music), pushing buttons, kids, socks (not taking them off just crawling holding on to one or two), books, playing toss, dancing, waving to people... even better when they wave back, being tickled at night, eating, and singing songs with actions.

The loves of my life

How in the world did I get so lucky!?! I have the most thoughtful, handsome husband and the sweetest most beautiful baby girl. I love them and they love me! My life could not get any better.

I'm sure most of you know (since I stressed about it) that we just had family pictures done. My amazing friend Angie, magic photographer, took them so I know they will turn out great! She posted one tonight so I thought I'd share. Thanks again Angie.

Halloween

Here are some pictures of Brookelynn on Halloween. Better Late then never right? Brookelynn was little bunny foo foo. When you sing her songs with her she wiggles her legs, bounces up and down (dancing), claps and squeals. She does this with little bunny foo foo and she will bop the mice on the head,most of the time. When she's really into it she will put both hands way above her head and bop my hand. She performed it for almost everyone on Halloween. When we went to Grandma and Grandpa Stouts house Brookelynn was a little cheese. She had so much fun playing with Grandpa.

When she would hear the camera ding she would stop playing with grandpa, turn and smile. It was so cute. Grandpa said, "just like your mom", but I don't know about that. :)




It was so much fun to run around and see friends and family, Brookelynn loved her first Halloween!

Free photo shoot.... not so free pictures..........

Yesterday I went to look at the cute pictures that were taken at the free photo shoot. I was so excited when the photographer put a preview picture on her blog and I looked at her prices for pints and they were reasonable. I looked at the profs and they were all so cute. Her style is crisp and clean with not a lot of frills. It was going to be very hard to choose what ones to get. After I looked at them all she told me about the pricing. . . . . . .
one 4x6 -- $40.00
one 5x7 -- $60.00
The prices went up from there. Now the photographer is talented no doubt, I was just not prepared for that. I was expecting it to be the same as the prices on her site. She said since she goes though the store she gets a commission and the prices come from the store not her. I had so many written down to choose from so picking one was hard. The photographer said this is the time to hit up grandparents...... I'm thinking I would have to hit up everyone that is my friend on face book to get enough for what I wanted. :) Don't worry I just chose the one free one. No need to send money. If we weren't getting pictures taken by Angie in a few weeks then I might have considered it.... ok, considered it more. I'll definitely have pictures to post from that! Yeah for Angie! I can't wait. Now I just have to decided what everyone is going to wear.

8 Months Old

I really can't believe that my little Baby Sue is 8 months already. Where does the time go? Here are a few things Brookelynn loves these days to go along with the cute fall picture.


In Love With Patty Cake
Brookelynn loves Patty Cake, Little Bunny Fofo, and the itsy bitys spider.She joins in with a squeal and a giggle as she starts the actions. She claps for Patty cake, Bops the little mice on the head and claps again for the ittsy bittsy spider ending all of them with more clapping as we say "Yeah!!".

Whistler
I know it might sound a little crazy but I promise Brookelynn Whistles! She puckers up and blows in and out. I need to get it on video... I know. :) When I try she hears the sound of the camera turning on, stops and smiles.

Copy Cat
She loves to play copy cat with everyone. You pat the table, she pats the table....
She makes a sound, you make the same sound, She whistles, you whistle.... The funny thing is when the person stops and she's not done with the game she will flex her arms and grunt in protest then pat the table a few more times to get you to keep playing. She had my boss whistling and patting the table for a very long time. She is very convincing.

Diver
Brookelynn is able to get around, just not by fully crawling yet. She will scoot backwards or if it's something she really wants she'll get on her hands and knees and dive for it. She'll do this over and over again until she gets what she wants.

Sit ups
Brookelynn loves to do sit ups with Nate. Nate is her trainer and he'll hold her feet and she will do sit ups. He will plot her back down and she pops back up with a smile. I guess it's never too early to start being healthy?

Lately she has started to try and give Nate and I her binky. She'll try and put it right in our mouths. She thinks it's so funny.

Cuddle Bug
She has always like to cuddle at night and in the morning but now just any time she will lean in and give you a hug. They are oh so cute.
