The best Christmas ever... but I say that every year.

Nate and I can not say it enough, we are so stinkin blessed in our lives. We feel like the luckiest people. This Christmas was the best ever, I really do think I say that every year but I mean it every year. We were glad to spend Christmas eve with my family and were sad the weather was so bad we couldn't get to Wyoming to see more family. Instead we stayed snuggled in our little house together. It was clam and relaxing, the perfect speed to reflect about our saviors birth.

Birthing Class

Nate and I took a birthing class, one of the many things we are doing to get as ready as possible. It wasn't quite what we were expecting. We are pretty egocentric and thought that our class mates would be just like us. We envisioned we would have a lot in common and be able to share experiences of how the pregnancy has been so far and how it will be from that point on. Instead we got a very different experience than what we planed. Different is fun and unexpected. We had an opportunity to meet some really great people in our class. Our class consisted of Nate and I, newly married just over a year. A lesbian couple. A couple from Finland who are only here for a year and came over not knowing she was pregnant. Have no insurance because they have socialized health care so they are paying for everything 100%. Not to mention the cultural norms are so different. Nate and I learned a lot about Finland.... or about having a baby in Finland. It's possible baby number two will be delivered in Finland. :) The last couple (which isn't in the photo) was a couple that has been married for a while and it was the wife's 4th child. We had a lot of fun getting to know the group and hearing how things are for them. That's what we get for being egocentric and thinking people will be just like us. We had a lot of fun and we wish them all a healthy pregnancy and happy life.
